Many kudos to Tokoyo Tramps for coming all the way from Boston to win it all yesterday at the River City Blues Competition in Marietta. I think it is safe to say that we saw some terrific bands and acoustic acts, from all over the Eastern United States--many of which could have won it all there and in Memphis. Wow.
Thanks for your support of the River City Competition and our band.
We hope to see a bunch of you at Mudflats this Saturday night, February 27th. However, if you are into traditional blues sounds, you should make it to Tradfest as they have another terrific line up the same day and night. You can make it out to see us last set, maybe? Also, Sean Carney is at Vonn Jazz Club the same night.
The following weekend we play at The Tin Duck in Marion, Ohio. This will be our first time there, thanks to our recent blizzards.
And for our Dayton people, we play Jackass Flats on March 12th, 9 to 1.

Please Support Us! February 20- Marietta Contest- Larry B's February 19
The River City Marietta Blues Contest is this weekend-- Friday night there are 6 to 8 competitors, and then on Saturday, beginning at 12:30 there are about 10 more. Code Blue is scheduled to play at 3:30 on Saturday, but that could be moved up an hour if something happens, so please get there early. Then, early Saturday night, the finalists from Friday night and Saturday afternoon play off for winners. There will be an acoustic solo/duo winner and a band winner, as well as some 2nd place winners.
Friday night, we could use your insight at Larry B's, 9 to 1. We'll be playing our contest sets, so come and put in your two cents. Plus, kick the webs out of cabin fever and LET'S GO CRAZY.

What a night!! Last Saturday night at Vonn Jazz!
IT WAS A SELL OUT!
After we had the privilege of opening for Hamilton Loomis, his band put on the best show I've seen--ever. Tight vocals, licks, horn, guitar riffs, acrobatics, shirtless guy, and he played way past 1 am. Many thanks to all of you who came and partied with us all. Code Blue had a great set as well, and we owe most of that to your encouragement.
Yavonne from Vonn's said 'I WANT HIM BACK'--you can count on that.
